In 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers will pay particular attention to the program of updating of the road maintenance machinery park. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during an emergency teleconference while considering the situation on Ukrainian roads. The meeting took place in Vinnytsia, in the framework of a working trip of the Head of Government to the region.

"Our plan is to update and support the programs of upgrading of road maintenance equipment and vehicle fleet," the Head of Government stressed.

Background

During his working visit to Vinnytsia region Volodymyr Groysman initiated and chaired an emergency conference call to tackle the situation on Ukrainian roads caused by excessive snowfall on December 18-19. In the central and western regions of Ukraine, within 24 hours increased precipitation has been observed causing traffic congestion.
