Ministry of Finance welcomes launch of Android Pay in Ukraine
The Ministry of
Finance of Ukraine welcomes the launch of
the Android Pay technology. Minister of Finance
Oleksandr Danyliuk took part in
the official presentation of Android Pay in
Ukraine. The Minister together
with Dmitry Sholomko, Google Ukraine’s Director tested the ease
of using the system.
«Ukraine has
become only the 15th country in the world,
where Android Pay is available.
I congratulate the representatives of Google Ukraine, PrivatBank, Oschadbank on this achievement!
The launch
of Android Pay is another evidence that the Ukrainian market
is attractive to leading innovation
companies», stressed the Minister.
Apart from that,
he added that Ukraine due
to such services
is moving towards cashless economy that has
no corrupt practices.
Android Pay technology
is a possibility of paying using
smartphones via POS terminals. PrivatBank and Oschadbank are currently the
only Ukrainian banks that supports
Android Pay, but according to Google
Ukraine, the list of
banks will be constantly updated.
