The meeting between Yulia Pidkomorna, Acting State Secretary of the Ministry, and experts from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency was held in the premises of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine.

In the course of the meeting the parties discussed questions related to the implementation of the project designed to increase the effectiveness of emergency response in the united energy system of Ukraine.

The interlocutors tackled details of the project implementation, the feasibility study, as well as the terms of the implementation.

The acting State Secretary of the Ministry thanked the U.S. Government for its support in issues concerning the nuclear safety in Ukraine.

In turn, the American side expressed its gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry for the accomplished work on the implementation of the project.

«I hope for further fruitful cooperation between our authorities that will help to confront the new challenges and threats at a global scale», underscored Yulia Pidkomorna.
