The attendees of the meeting stressed the need to unite the efforts of the state authorities, the public and the Ukrainian diaspora in the process of preparing for the commemoration of the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 and separately emphasized the importance for continuation of work on the second stage construction of the National Museum «Holodomor Victims Memorial».

It should be noted that apart from the construction of the Museum, activities aimed to restore the National Book of Remembrance are to be kicked off. Moreover, it is of utmost importance to strengthen information and educational measures on further recognition by the international community, foreign states and international organizations of the 1932-1933 Holodomor in Ukraine as the genocide of the Ukrainian people. In this regard international forum dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor in Ukraine will be held in Kyiv in November 2018.
