  • Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk meets Vice President of the World Bank Cyril Mueller

    On October 12, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk, his deputy Yuriy Butsa and Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade Maksym Nefyodov met Vice President of the World Bank Cyril Mueller. The meeting took place as part of the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank in Washington.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of reforms in Ukraine and its cooperation with the World Bank. The parties expressed confidence that the World Bank will continue to be a reliable partner of Ukraine on its way to sustainable development.

    Oleksandr Danyliuk stressed the importance of the World Bank’s participation in the reform process in Ukraine aimed to modernize the Ukrainian economy and to transform its structure.

    Cyril Mueller emphasized the importance of the reforms launched by Ukraine and the role of the land reform for the further economic development of Ukraine.

    Ukraine and the World Bank are currently cooperating to implement dozens of joint projects. Each of them contributes to experience exchange, employment and the enhancement of Ukraine’s financial system.
