The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans and advocates raising expenditures on defense to the tune of not less than UAH 165 billion. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in a video address.

«We have planned a sum worth 165 billion hryvnias for security and defense in the budget of economic growth for 2018. Defense complex enterprises will provide the army with new tanks, new planes, armoured vehicles and cars. Our defenders will have modern weapons and equipment as well as will get decent wages. My principle: a developed state economy is a protected country», claimed Volodymyr Groysman.

It should be pointed out that volume of expenses for defense sector exceeded UAH 120 billion in the current year.
