Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman called on MPs to unite around the decision on the
adoption of a medical reform as well as on change of a system of financing the
sector and assessment of quality of medical services. The Head of Government
told on air of TV channel 112.UA.
"I fully
support the need to consider a medical reform. I wish our citizens could get a
high quality service when going to the doctor," said Volodymyr Groysman,
"The reform will not negatively affect the state of affairs within the
sector. On the contrary, we will have opportunities opened up to systematically
rebuild the health care domain. I wish there were enough votes in support of
this reform."
The Prime Minister
stressed that Ukraine should switch from the system of financing beds to the
system of financing the quality of medical services.
"The money will be transferred in accordance with the needs of each particular patient - the patient chooses which hospital to go to, visits the best hospital and the state pays money as a targeted assistance. Thereby we would ensure a competition among the hospitals, they would try to offer good service to get paid," summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
