In regards to the launch of the Energy Efficiency Fund: the law "On the Energy Efficiency Fund" has already been adopted, the regulatory framework is being elaborated that seeks to approve its statute, to elect a supervisory board as well as to consolidate the procedures. Our international partners have already declared the first tranche of financing of the Energy Efficiency Fund together with the state budget of Ukraine to the tune of 50 million euros. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko during the Sustainable Energy Forum SEF-2017 KYIV.

«The pivotal question is the creation of procedures. It is important how the multi-donor fund will operate and how products will be offered. And the main issue is ensuring transparency of the fund's activities», Hennadii Zubko stressed.

The Vice Prime Minister emphasized that during the implementation of the Fund's projects banks will work directly with clients. «The Fund will work only on the creation of products and technical solutions, further - the banks will receive co-financing from international partners and the budget of Ukraine for carrying out these projects», he claimed.

«We are planning to wind up the process of the elaboration of the entire legal base for the Fund by the end of the year. The Energy Efficiency Fund will de facto start working next year», the Vice Prime Minister asserted.
