The Government's draft resolution on the monetization of benefits and subsidies at the level of community service providers has been finalized and offered for open discussion, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion announced.

"This is a solid step which shall abolish the system of clearing payments and provide an opportunity for payment to utility providers with ready money to ensure targeted use of the resource. For 26 years this problem has existed in Ukraine, and finally the Government has offered its perspective on finding solution to this situation," stressed Volodymyr Kistion.

However, according to him, the Government cannot adopt such an important decision without consulting with the public, market participants and city mayors.

Therefore, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine promptly brought this draft resolution up for broad discussion with the public. And only after taking into account the public opinion, the Government will start the process of monetization of benefits and allowances at the level of enterprises providing housing and communal services from January 1, 2018, assured Volodymyr Kistion.
