UkraineInvest, established with the assistance of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, has become a reliable component and one of the key tools designed to ensure interaction with world leading companies and to leverage financial and technological resources to Ukraine. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during his visit to the UkraineInvest office where he got familiar with the results of its operation.

"I badly needed such an institution as the Investment Promotion Office. We have gathered an efficient team led by Danylo Bilak. We have introduced the position of Government Commissioner for Investments, which is occupied by First Deputy Finance Minister Oksana Markarova, as well as set up an interagency working group dealing with deregulation, studying problems businesses face, forming relevant business climate," said Volodymyr Groysman.

He emphasized that work of each structure is aimed at creating favorable business climate, making "business feel comfortably." "Certainly, we are to carry out a judicial reform, to bring about a number of changes, however, we are well aware of what projects we implement, what investment we accompany, aware of urgent problems. We do our job, the Office do their job to promote business," the Head of Government stressed.

In his turn, Director of the Office Danylo Bilak highlighted that his Office had launched full operation starting January of 2017, and over this period had already demonstrated significant results. Thus, the volume of additional investment raised as a result of activities of investors already working in Ukraine is estimated at about $ 600 million, and by the end of the year, this figure can make up $ 1 billion.

At that, the Office focuses, above all, on communication campaigns and direct support of local entrepreneurs in regions rather than the quantity of investment.

"We are willing to co-operate with global brands that would make ‘impact’ investment in Ukraine. These are 5-6 large projects, we hope to launch this year," said Danylo Bilak. He told that among such projects is partnership with the global giant - the Qatar Airways, which would provide information on investment opportunities of Ukraine over the next 6 months. "Nearly 3.5 million passengers will have access to information about Ukraine's agro-sector, our production facilities, technological potential, opportunities in energy sector and energy efficiency," added the Director of the Office.
