Offered by the Government's draft state budget for 2018 envisages a 3% growth in the economy of Ukraine, however on condition of approval of system decisions by the end of the year, such growth forecast might be improved. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said on air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels.

"We have honestly submitted the budget to the Parliament on September 15, we will engage during several months in debate with the MPs and experts aimed to maximize the efficiency of this document," the Head of Government explained.

He emphasized that the proposed budget is a pro-growth budget based on the development of the economy, rather than raising tax burden.

"If we adopt a number of system decisions, we will be able to enhance growth," urged Volodymyr Groysman. "The 2018 budget is a major step towards economic stabilization and further upturn."

The Head of Government reminded that the document contains large programs of support for key sectors of the economy and social sphere. This, in particular, concerns a 25% increase in teachers' salaries, enlargement of the Available Medicines program, and broad support for farmers - from farms and livestock-breeding farms to machine-building enterprises capable to provide rural population with state-of-the-art equipment.
