If the Parliament supports laws introducing a pension reform in early October, we will have chance to increase pensions for 9 million retirees in October also, as the Government pledges commitment to make necessary calculations. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced on air of one of Ukraine’s TV channels.

"Parliament has every possibility to adopt a pension reform in October. We can run the numbers. It is the commitment of MPs, the Government, the President to enable pensioners to obtain a systemic pension increase," stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

He emphasized that current calculations of superannuation rates are based on the indicators of 2007, and it is a ‘crime’.

"Hence, if the MPs approve a pension reform on October 3, I assume obligation that in October pensions will be raised for 9 million seniors. We will fulfill the promise and we need 226 votes," the Head of Government summed up.
