The process of
setting tariffs for transportation, in particular railway service, should be
economically justified and coordinated with the business. Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman highlighted on air of one of the national TV
channels. "The challenge before the Ministry of Infrastructure is as
follows: it is necessary to adjust tariffs to make those acceptable for the
real sector of the economy and enable the Ukrzaliznytsia to modernize the rolling
stock as it had suffered the decades of stagnation. And it is crucial here to
find an acceptable solution in synergy with entrepreneurs. Business and the Ukrzaliznytsia
express readiness for this," said Volodymyr Groysman.
He also cited
examples of such a compromise. From January 1, 2018, tariffs in Ukrainian ports
are to be reduced.
"We understand problems of businesses, and I see future growth and success of Ukraine," said Volodymyr Groysman.
