Prime Minister viewes any artificial obstacles created to drag out the consideration of changes a crime against pensioners and further way towards impoverishment
Any artificial
obstacles created to drag out the consideration by the Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine and the adoption of a pension reform are viewed a crime against the
people and millions of Ukrainian pensioners who have been waiting for pensions increase
for years. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
during the Government sitting.
“We are very
close to adopting a pension reform. The majority are ready to support this
reform. I'm advocating an idea to pass the reform this week,” said the Head of
Government, “We have information that certain artificial obstacles hamper the
work of the Parliament to prevent adopting a pension reform. Dragging out is a
crime against Ukrainian seniors who have been waiting for pension improvement
for years. The opportunity (to improve the system) can be provided by us
already this Thursday. Hence, I want to call on all the sound forces in the
Parliament to do everything necessary for us to consider tomorrow the pension
reform in Ukraine. Tomorrow (September 21st) will be the moment of truth, when
everyone can demonstrate real respect for citizens. "
