Volodymyr Groysman pledges Gov't committed to embark on discussions regarding draft 2018 budget

September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine submitted the draft state budget for 2018 to the Verkhovna Rada, as required by law. In his video address on Facebook Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced the Government is committed to engage in fruitful discussions to secure the timely adoption of the essential document in its final version.

“On September 15 we tabled a law on the budget for 2018 in the Parliament. This is the development budget. We will ensure efficient financing of the whole defense and security complex, investing in the development of the economy, which is vital. An education reform, healthcare funding, road construction, support for culture and science domains are among the priorities included in 2018 budget”, emphasized Volodymyr Groysman. “We are open to dialogue – both with experts and MPs. But I assure that the budget must be timely and predictable. "
