Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman opened the Government sitting and announced reform support
and further transformations in the state being its central topics. Volodymyr
Groysman reminded that the policy pursued by the Government to overhaul the
country already yields result. Hence, it is vital these days to demonstrate unity
in adopting the most urgent decisions for the country. Among them - the
approval of the draft state budget for 2018, which will be presented this
Friday, September 15, and the final approval of the draft law on the pension
reform, scheduled for next week.
“We have
surmounted the crisis, we have maintained control over the situation”, the Head
of Government said. “We have come to build, to do everything necessary to bring
about positive change to the lives of citizens”, said the Prime Minister.
The Head of
Government believes that further decentralization, restoring of the country's
logistics potential, implementing reforms in education, healthcare sectors and retrofitting
the pension system, which are currently in Parliament waiting for approval,
changes in privatization mechanisms, supported by the National Reform Council within
the President of Ukraine - all of those are critical for economy’s development.
"Today we will also consider the program of development of farming", the Head of Government said. He recalled that the Government allocates UAH 1 billion for the implementation of this program. "We will increase the number of farms in geometric progression. We must give a new impetus to the farms, thereby allowing the country to supply the domestic market with high-quality products and create new jobs", Volodymyr Groysman stressed.
