The Cabinet of
Ministers of Ukraine, under the policy of development of transit potential of
Ukraine and the use of logistics capabilities of the state, has approved a
decision to cut port charges and duties from January 1, 2018. The relevant
decision was taken during the Government’s sitting on Wednesday, September 6.
Commenting on the
adopted decision, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman stressed: "We are
going to cut port charges. This is within our capacities. Our ports are expensive,
and businesses repeatedly raise an issue of reducing fees, and we are reducing
the fees to make ports more competitive."
