  • Ukraine and Vietnam are ready to intensify bilateral relations

    In the framework of the official visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin to Vietnam on 4-6 September 2017 there were held a series of meetings with the leadership of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and was agreed to significantly strengthen the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and bring them to a qualitatively new level.

    During the meeting with Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc the parties agreed that the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Vietnam at all levels meets the fundamental national interests of both countries.

    Pavlo Klimkin and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Binh Minh discussed a wide range of issues of the international agenda. The Foreign Ministers of both countries called for intensification of cooperation at expert, high and the highest levels and signed a number of two-sided documents.

    At a meeting between Pavlo Klimkin and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Tuan Anh the necessity to elaborate, develop and use the practical mechanisms of substantial strengthening of the economic component of bilateral relations were emphasized, in particular, within the framework of the 14th meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Vietnamese Commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, which is scheduled for early October in Kyiv this year.
