
Hennadii Zubko: Inclusive education will be introduced in more than 170 schools of Zhytomyr region
171 schools will
provide inclusive training for children
with special needs in Zhytomyr
region and more than 320 children
will have an opportunity of inclusive education,
Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development,
Construction, Housing and Utilities of
Ukraine Hennadii Zubko wrote on
his Facebook page during opening
together with President’s wife Maryna Poroshenko of the Zhytomyr's
first media library for inclusive
training at school No. 28.
«Ukraine holds
a course for development of inclusive education. It has to
be fully incorporated in the general educational
system of the country. The
number of children with special
needs who are involved in
inclusive training annually grows», the Vice Prime
Minister stressed.
It should be
noted that children attend inclusive educational classes for the
third consecutive year at the
Zhytomyr school No. 28. In 2017-2018, 6 students will study
at the school
under the inclusive program: 4 primary school pupils, 1 fifth-grader and 1 seventh-grader. For children with special
needs a modern wheelchair ramp was equipped, children
work with psychologists as well as with
a speech therapist. In addition to
training, children have a positive atmosphere on the
part of the
participants of the educational process.
In the educational
institution a media library was created,
the sum worth
UAH 332.1 was allocated for its equipment. A class with modern
interactive learning tools was established
as well.
The first two
grades of primary school in this academic
year take part in the
All-Ukrainian project "New
Ukrainian School".
