Ukrainians will not
be free without
unanimity, claimed Vice Prime Minister
for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna
Klympush-Tsintsadze while delivering
a speech at the solemn opening
of the international
scientific and practical conference "Ukrainian World Congress at 50 and Beyond:The
European Context". The conference devoted to the 50th anniversary
of the UWC is underway in
Lviv.
«The role
of the Ukrainian
diaspora in preserving and promoting of the
history, language and culture can
not be overestimated.
Having achieved independence we are facing new
challenges. Every day we have
to continue our efforts aimed
at defending the right of
our people to be free,
independent and successful. In this struggle you
have to be nearus»,
stressed the Vice Prime Minister.
«For us,
the Ukrainian diaspora is as
a stepping-stone for modern
and developed Ukraine in the
world. The country that we
want to build
together», noted Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, while
stressing the importance of unity
in the difficult
times of confronting an external aggressor and internal transformations.
«The first
name of the
Ukrainian World Congress was the "World Congress of Free Ukrainians".
The free country is of
critical importance, but without unity
we will not
be free», she stressed.
The attendees of
the conference were Eugene Czolij UWC President, Pavlo Hobzey Deputy Minister
of Education and Science of
Ukraine, Oleh Syniutka Head of
Lviv regional state administration and Yuriy Bobalo
Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
