The Government plans to revert
to consideration of five drastic
reforms in the healthcare, education and pension
sectors in September, claimed Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman in the course of
the session of the Cabinet
of Ministers of Ukraine on
Wednesday, August 23.
In this context,
the Prime Minister touched upon pricing issues
for medications in Ukraine and
drew attention to the burning
need to eradicate
all corruption schemes existing in this sector.
«We will
tackle corruption in procurement in an easy
way – by transparency», stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
He recalled that
this year the Government has allocated UAH 6 billion on the
purchase of medical products. The procurement procedure is as
close as possible to meet
the needs of citizens due
to the ProZorro
system as well as procurement
through international medical organizations launched by the
Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine.
Apart from that,
the Head of Government drew
the attention of representatives of local authorities
to the need
to improve the healthcare system on the ground,
especially with regard to adding
regions to a single register of patients with
serious disease.
