At present in
Ukraine there are no reasons
to raise gas prices for
the population and the Government
consistently proves this position to
the key partners,
first of all the International
Monetary Fund (IMF), announced Prime Minister of Ukraine
Volodymyr Groysman during the inspection
visit to the Center for
administrative service provision in Kyiv.
«There are
no objective reasons for the
gas price hikes. We can
prove this formula. We are
in constant cooperation with the IMF (on this
issue) », the Head of Government
stressed.
Apart from that,
he emphasized the RAB (Regulatory Asset Base) formula for electricity developed
by the National
Commission for State Regulation of Energy and
Public Utilities is unsuitable. «We consider that
this formula will lead to an
increase in electricity bills for the population.
We do not
back this», the Prime Minister noted and added
that the tariff calculation formula should be changed.
