The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in the framework of the continuation of the program aimed to support education, includes a further increase of teachers’ wages by 25% into the draft budget for 2018. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the inspection trip to the Center for administrative service provision in Kyiv.

«We must ensure the further increase in salaries of Ukrainian teachers. Therefore, in the budget for the next year another increase is being planned by 25%. This is what we must strive for», Volodymyr Groysman claimed.

In a separate statement he said that the Cabinet of Ministers launches training modernization programs and added the said program will be started from the first to third grades of primary school. "We intend to equip these classes with technical means for the development of children», the Head of Government said.

Apart from that, he touched upon the issue on reducing the number of students eligible for a scholarship. This initiative was aired by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. «No one will decrease anything. The policy of education is shaped by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. I'm interested in paying scholarships to students who show significant results in education. Ukraine needs young educated people. We will invest in education and I draw attention to this. This is one of the most essential priorities for the Government», underlined the Prime Minister.
