Situation Update, east of Ukraine as of morning, August 02, 2017
According
to the press centre of the ‘anti-terror’ operation
(ATO) HQ, the enemy has violated the ceasefire for 34 times over the past 24
hours.
The enemy
used grenade launchers near Butivka mine, mortars,
grenade launchers, and small arms near Avdiivka, 120
mm mortars, anti-air mount, and heavy machineguns against the ATO positions
near Troitske, mortars near Maiorsk,
Verkhniotoretske, and Zaitseve.
Militants
shelled the Ukrainian positions near Novooleksandrivka,
Novotoshkivske, and Stanytsia
Luhanska with small arms. An enemy’s sniper targeted
the Ukrainian positions near Novozvanivka.
The Russian
proxies used small arms near Lebedynske, grenade
launchers near Talakivka.
Yesterday
morning, militants shelled the residential quarters of Vodiane
using heavy weaponry — reactive multiple launch systems. Fortunately, there are
no casualties among civilians.
Bandits
blasted engineer munitions near Staromykhailivka to
imitate shelling from Ukrainian government controlled territory by the
Ukrainian army. The enemy tries to discredit the Ukrainian soldiers on the eve
of the meeting of the Minsk trilateral contact group.
One
Ukrainian soldier was killed and one soldier was wounded.
