  • Volodymyr Groysman: Government began preparations aimed to ensure smooth passage of upcoming heating season

    The Cabinet of Ministers went ahead with active preparations for the autumn-winter period of 2017-2018, there is a blueprint of relevant measures at the state level as well as on the ground, thus there is every reason to say that the upcoming heating season will be hold smoothly. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman noted in his opening statement at the special conference call with heads of regional state administrations.

    «Today (June 19) we will hold the conference call on the issues of the preparation of the country and of fuel and energy complex for the autumn-winter period of 2017-2018. Last year amid strong criticism the Government managed to ensure the effective preparation for the heating season which ended on April 15. We conducted a serious work aimed to create the strategic resource and to rebuild the road infrastructure in order to provide a high-quality preparation for the winter season. The Government is committed to ensure the heating season to be hold stable and efficient», assures Volodymyr Groysman.

    Apart from that, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of implementation of all planned activities. «The Government adopted the plan of preparation, however despite the fact that local authorities have already approved decisions related to the said preparations, still there should be undertaken an intensive work not just on paper», underlined Volodymyr Groysman, adding that there is sufficient time to prepare.
