The Government welcomes the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to include in the agenda a package of bills on healthcare reform aimed at changing the system of financing of health care .The Prime Minister noted in his opening statement at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Wednesday.

The package of bills which was elaborated in synergy with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and experts as well as updated with the participation of MPs - representatives of various committees and factions. Last week, the draft amendments were considered at a meeting of the National Council of Reform under the President of Ukraine.

“This reform is designed for the benefit of our citizens and is aimed to restore respect to health professionals and to all healthcare system. I want to express gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Health for the introduction of decisions, I would like to thank personally the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for his efforts regarding this issue, I want to thank all the fractions of the coalition – the Petro Poroshenko Block and the People’s Front and personally to Arseniy Yatsenyuk as well as to all MPs who put aside their political flags and took a decision to serve the interests of citizens. We are committed to go further – the pension reform is on the agenda which is also aimed to serve the best interests of citizens”, summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
