Government intends to allocate a sum worth UAH 5 billion from special confiscation to trigger road repairs, says PM

The funds which are being allocated to trigger road repair activities exceed 3 times last year’s showing, moreover upon the proposal of the Government the budget can be replenished by proceeds obtained from special confiscation of former senior officials. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during his inspection trip to Lviv region where he checked the state of the road repair work on the road H-02 LvivTernopil.

"This year we are planning to allocate a sum worth UAH 30 billion from all sources of funding  - which is three times more than last year in fact. The essential task – is normal quality, appropriate use of technologies and control, stressed the Prime Minister. - I would also advocate providing funds to the tune of UAH 5 billion from special confiscation on road repairs".

The Prime Minister put an emphasis to the fact that this year the Government is facing a task seek  to improve public road system in the direction of LvivTernopil – Vinnitsa – Uman - Odesa, hence this transport corridor connects the western border of Ukraine with  ports. «Trade flows are concentrated on this international route», underlined Voldoymyr Groysman.

Apart from that, the Prime Minister reiterated that the Government will soon initiate a tender for works regarding border management with Poland. «The tender will be issued for our program together with Polish colleagues – to the sum worth UAH 2 billion- on border infrastructure. This year we are engages in elaboration of documentation, the project will be kicked off next year», said the Prime Minister.
