Available Medicine program would be fully funded, Government possesses necessary financial resources, assures PM

The government program Available Medicine which was launched on April 1 and stipulates for the provision of free medicines to patients with diabetes, asthma and cardiovascular diseases would be fully funded this year and in subsequent years, announced Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during his trip to Vinnytsia where on May 20, solemn events on the occasion of 10th anniversary of Europe Day took place.

«We are concerned about the health of Ukrainians. The Government engages in activities aimed at improving the aforesaid program. We have enough financial resources for pursuing of this program, we will allocate necessary funding this year and in subsequent years in order for people to get support”, said the Head of Government.

He reminded that the Government is closely monitoring the progress of the implementation of the government program Available Medicine and resolving promptly problematic issues which occur in the process of realization of the program. Apart from that, the decision aimed at expanding the program is being elaborated now. My communication with people is the best confirmation of the fact that we need to extend the list of drugs for the aforesaid program”, added the Prime Minister.
