Prime Minister: Raise of retirement payments will not alter Government's plans for granting subsidies

The raise of retirement payments which should be triggered starting 1 October 2017 in the case of the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of the Government's draft on pension reform will not affect the households that obtain utilities and fuel procurement subsidies. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during his trip to Vinnytsia where on May 20 solemn events on the occasion of 10th anniversary of Europe Day took place.

«With regard to the issue of social protection, in particular subsidies, the country has all instruments to ensure the high level implementation of the aforesaid issue. We promised high-quality preparations for the heating season and we kept our promises, we will provide compensatory mechanisms (in the shape of subsidies) for the next season as well. The state will take care of those citizens who need support," stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
