Gov't intends to introduce amendments to the state budget and to allocate first tranche of reprofiling for repair of road networks

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to introduce amendments to the state budget for the current year to the Parliament in June thereby allowing the Government to allocate funds obtained as a result of reprofiling of government bonds for construction and repair of road networks. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rad

“MPs approved decision on ensuring of reprofiling. We have reached an accord with the National Bank of Ukraine that all necessary issues on restructuring process will be adopted by the end of June, the Government is committed to present  amendments to the state budget thus will provide an opportunity to allocate the first sum worth UAH 10 billion for road repairs”, said the Prime Minister.

He recalled that budgetary appropriations for repair of road networks make up the sum worth UAH 15 billion. An additional resource is overfulfilment of targets from customs. Herewith, Volodymyr Groysman admitted that in case of preservation of tendencies of economic growth that will enable the Government to possess sufficient resource to the tune of UAH 30 for rebuilding of the road infrastructure.
