    The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine advocates allocating a sum worth $ 1.5 billion - proceeds of crime of former senior officials and confiscated in favor of the state to strengthen the national defense and infrastructure. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during A Question Time at the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.

    "As we know, the distribution of these funds must follow according to the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine upon the proposal of the Government. We want to hold consultations with the coalition, with the President of Ukraine to single out directions in which we can use these funds. In my opinion, the burning sectors are national defense, infrastructure, education, healthcare, as well as sectors of construction of roads or other objects infrastructure", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

    The Prime Minister noted that return of the plundered money to the state budget aimed to contribute to the development of both national defense and transport infrastructure and to strengthen national economy as well as an economic growth.
