Medical and pharmaceutical technologies of Israel are recognized among the best in the world and are viewed to be the most useful for Ukraine in the context of the implementation of the announced by the Government reform of the health sector. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with leadership of the Teva Pharmaceutical Industries and heads of leading Israeli companies in biomedical engineering.
"We are eager to promote interaction inside the business community and the dialogue which will yield a specific result. We are open to further cooperation and are interested in deepening cooperation. We are at the beginning of a change process. Everything related to medicine, pharmacology is very important for Ukraine", said the Head of Government.
He noted that one example of successful cooperation between Ukraine and Israel in the medical sector is the work of the Teva pharmaceutical company, which was one of the first to join the government program Available Medicine. The program was launched on April 1 and stipulates for the provision of free medicines to patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes type II and bronchial asthma.
The Prime Minister stressed that cooperation in the healthcare and pharmacology would be enhanced due to the made by the Cabinet of Ministers steps towards deregulation of the pharmaceutical market and the simplification of registration of medicines. It is also viewed as a considerable impetus the signed on May 15, five-year Plan of cooperation in the healthcare and medical industry sector between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of the State of Israel, as well as the efforts of the Government of Ukraine directed to creation of infrastructure for the development of medical projects.
"Our interest
is in creating certain infrastructure objects on the territory of Ukraine to raise
efficiency of our joint efforts for the two sides", the Prime Minister said
and assured the representatives of pharmaceutical business of Israel of the
full support by the Cabinet of Ministers of the projects.
