Innovative experience of Israel and Free Trade Agreement are in the spotlight, says PM about upcoming visit to the State of Israel
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in the framework of an
official visit to the State of Israel on May 14-16, inter alia intends to
discuss issues pertaining to the conclusion of Free Trade Agreement and to get
familiarized with the best practices of Israel in the sphere of innovations.
This was stated by the Head of Government on air of TV channel
"112.UA".
“On Monday-Tuesday I shall pay the visit with the government delegation
to Israel. We have a number of key issues that we need to tackle upon. I
consider this trip to be highly beneficial from the point of view of bilateral
agreements," stressed the Prime Minister. In the course of the meeting it
is planned to sign Memorandum of cooperation between the ministries of
healthcare of Ukraine and Israel, to discuss questions regarding to the work of
the rehabilitation center for soldiers of the anti-terror operation (ATO) –
Israel will provide consulting assistance.
The Head of Government informed that he is to hold important talks with
Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, President of Israel Reuven Rivlin and Speaker of the
Knesset Yuli Edelstein, apart from that, Volodymyr
Groysman is scheduled to participate in more than two dozen of events.
“It is vitally important to bring about the issue of approval of the
Free Trade Agreement. We have a huge potential for our bilateral trade- it is
the development of the national economy as well as the direct production in
Ukraine. Thereby it is a visit of great importance”, urged Volodymyr Groysman.
The Prime Minister stressed that the government delegation will be
accompanied by representatives of business circles that will learn experience
of Israel in establishment of technological parks, in adoption of new
technologies in agricultural and medicine sectors. According to his words, this
will open up opportunities to create conditions for production of competitive
products in Ukraine.
Moreover, the focus of the meeting with leadership of the State of
Israel will be the recognition of the Holodomor in
Ukraine as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people. “This issue is of
critical importance, I think we need to find common ground. It is significant
to ensure that Ukrainian values will be recognized in the world. Tragedies
which were occurred must be reflected and supported throughout the civilized
world”, summed up the Prime Minister.
