The introduction of legislation designed to support technoparks
and development of domestic production is to become the essential priority of
the National Committee for revival of the industry in the near-term prospect. This
was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the first meeting
of the Committee.
"It is time to elaborate legislation on supporting domestic
production as well as a package of legislation for the development of
innovation parks. I think this is the objective for the next 2.5 months, noted
the Prime Minister. We also need to change the system of financing of the
Ukrainian science, based on the needs of the market. Today, a large part of our
scientists as well as IT-specialists are working on outsourcing and generally
speaking its technological annexes. This should be changed, they should be
supported. In what way?. Perhaps only through the
allocation of resources from the state budget we are not getting the result.
Our task is to provide a legislative framework for it and most importantly- not
to be afraid to take bold decisions.”
It is crucial to facilitate the renewal of fixed assets and value
determination of Ukrainian raw materials abroad and domestically. "I don't
get a point why our manufacturer buys Ukrainian raw materials which are sometimes
even more expensive than for its foreign competitor", stressed Volodymyr
Groysman.
He drew a special attention to the issue of privatization. “A
large-scale privatization contains investment, technologies and workplaces”,
summed up the Prime Minister.
