The Government engages in developing proposal concerning uninterrupted
funding of a program providing “warm loans ”, which
are granted to citizens of Ukraine for carrying out of energy efficiency
measures, including a loan tranche which has been disbursed to our country by
the European Commission. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the
Forum “Government under the Microscope: Yearly Results and Challenges”.
"We have
resources from the European Commission to fill the State Energy
Efficiency Fund. I will give instructions to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine
to allocate part of these resources to the implementation of "warm loans”
program, as well as I will commission Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko to take control of
this issue”, stressed the Head of Government.
In this context the Prime Minister reminded about the collaboration
between the Government and World Bank experts concerning monetization of
subsidies both the level of the producer and the consumer.
“We see that people are starting to care about energy efficiency. And
for us , at the state level, it is crucial to increase
its own production of resources", underlined the Head of Government.
