Volodymyr Groysman: We want to invest in each particular Ukrainian citizen who gets particular medical service instead of financing neglected hospital building and patient capacity
The Government
engages in developing proposals concerning ways of changing the system of
financing of the healthcare sector, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman speaking to
reporters in Vinnytsia.
"We
are now preparing proposals on how we will change the system of funding in
hospitals”, said the Head of Government. “A health insurance component is
extremely important. It implies the change in the system of financing of the
entire healthcare sector. We will offer the option shortly, which we are to
present to the Ukrainian society and introduce a plan of how the system may vary".
According
to him, the resource allocated to satisfy the needs of the health care system might
be used much more effectively.
"What
are these means used for today? As a rule, in the old system?
In financing walls and patient capacity. We want to change
this ideology so that we funded a particular Ukrainian citizen who receives a particular
medical service. We want to invest in such new system, new technology. We deny
investing in abandoned buildings, in terrible conditions people occur in many territories,
districts, regions of Ukraine", he urged.
Volodymyr
Groysman assures what matters are the conditions in
each particular hospital instead of the number of hospitals in each particular
area.
