Volodymyr Groysman: The visit of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is the evidence of the support and solidarity of Greece with the Ukrainian people
One of the topics for the discussion during a meeting of heads of Government of Ukraine and Greece has become a security issue, in particular the deterioration of the situation in the East of Ukraine and abiding by the Minsk agreements. The Head of Ukrainian Government announced following the meeting.
Greece is monitoring closely the developments in Eastern Ukraine and advocates finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The Minsk deals are among the topmost tools that will help in settling the conflict, said Alexis Tsipras.
He noted that Ukraine is home to about 100 thousand ethnic Greeks. Greece is keen on their life in Ukraine be safe.
"For
me, the meeting with the Prime Minister was very important. I saw the things
that can unite us, help us resolve pressing issues between our two countries",
stressed the Prime Minister of Greece.

Groysman thanked Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras
for the first official visit to Ukraine.
"This
visit, as we regard that, is the visit that testifies the support and
solidarity of Greece with the Ukrainian people, as a step that will allow us to
deepen and broaden our cooperation. We have had 25 years of our diplomatic
relations, the Greek minority in Ukraine, good partnership relations between
our two countries and economic ties that we are developing", said Volodymyr
Groysman.
