Prime Ministers of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and of Greece Alexis Tsipras agreed to resume work of intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation aimed to enhance collaboration between the countries in the economic sphere. Such were the results of negotiations of Prime Ministers of Ukraine and the Hellenic Republic on Wednesday in Kyiv.
Among the topics of the talks of the two PMs were economic partnership issues, said Volodymyr Groysman during a conversation with journalists following the meeting.
"There are a number of opinions and proposals made by my counterpart, from the point of view of a meeting of intergovernmental Commission at the level of which it will be possible to discuss the state of our bilateral cooperation and to determine those areas that will enable us to develop among others our economic collaboration," he stressed.
In turn, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Alexis Tsipras noted that Greece is interested in deepening partnership between the two countries.
Greece, in particular, is motivated to develop cooperation with the Black Sea areas of Ukraine as a result of its historical, cultural and economic ties with these regions, emphasized Alexis Tsipras.
"Our two countries benefit from very close relations, which are based on those shared things connected with our shared history, religion, attitudes. We are very keen on finding those new aspects in the relations between our two countries that would lead to the improvement of the economic situation in our countries", said the Head of the Greek Government.
Tomorrow in Kyiv will open the Ukrainian-Greek business forum. "We believe that it will become an impetus for strengthening our partnership in the economic domain", said Alexis Tsipras.
