On commission of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman there has been established a working group within the Government headed by line Vice-Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko to monitor implementation of the decision about raising the minimum wage twofold. Similar ad hoc working groups will be set up in regions and cities all across the country.

"I gave a commission to the line Vice-Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko, he engages in this issue, groups were set up to clearly monitor the situation, namely how wages are accrued, how these are paid. In the near future we will establish communication so that people could inform us in detail, which company fails to pay salaries, or where they are cut or understated... Basing on these we will provide clear response as there will be established special working groups in the regions and towns responsible for revealing such facts and helping to restore justice", said the Prime Minister on opening a Government’s meeting on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister set a task to provide weekly informing about specific numbers how the Government decision on raising the minimum pay is executed. In turn, he will update the country "what is the situation with payment of wages".

“We will provide data in public that will prove the change of the remuneration system to the Ukrainian citizens. It is also a very important priority for us”, assured Volodymyr Groysman. “We will ensure this decision be implemented in full throughout the country."

The Government cooperates in this issue in particular with trade unions and Federation of Employers, he added.

"I want to assure you that I will make each employer properly evaluate the work of his employees. It’s no big deal, if business owner earns a little less money but his employees will earn much more. We must guide by such logic in our actions," said the Prime Minister.

The Head of Government criticized those who oppose raising the minimum wage, adding that this decision is fair to protect interests of Ukrainian citizens and was backed by the Parliament.
