Prime
Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman met on Friday with students of the
National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic
Institute”.
The Prime
Minister presented the results of activities of the Government in pursuing
reforms in 2016.
"The
year of 2016 has become the beginning of a major overhaul of the country that
actually covers all spheres of life," said the Prime Minister.
He noted that
over 25 years of independence, Ukraine has succeeded as a great European state.
At the same time, the state cannot escape the difficult conditions it found
itself in.
According
to him, institutional, economic, defensive, legal incapacities of the country
have led to the challenges we are confronting today. That is why it is vital to
solve a lot of systemic problems that require significant work.
"The
essential objective, an objective for our Government is to ensure that each of
you, each Ukrainian citizen waking up every morning realized that he has a
future, satisfaction from life”, he said. “I’d prefer each Ukrainian citizen be
happy."
"My
job as Prime Minister is to spare no effort to ensure that we could create
proper environment in our beautiful country, in which anyone can predict and
understand what we can achieve in 5-10 years, in which we would build our life
the way we deserve and we would respond appropriately to the challenges we are
facing these days," stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
He noted
that after the formation of the new Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine the
situation in the country could stabilize.
"Our
main goal was to stabilize the economic situation in our country, to end the
political crisis and to ensure sustainable development," accentuated the
Head of Government.
The Prime
Minister also told about plans of Government for 2017 and core priorities of the
Budget for next year recently approved by Ukraine’s Parliament.
