  • Roman Nasirov signed a Protocol with heads of customs administrations from GUAM member states

    http://www.kmu.gov.ua/img/1x1.gifChairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov had participated in a meeting with heads of customs administrations of GUAM countries on the results of which a Protocol was signed. At that the signatories issued a Joint statement of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine on cooperation in customs sphere in the framework of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development.

    Under the signed documents, further activities of Ukraine in the GUAM framework should base on the development of the legal framework and cooperation aimed to further simplify customs procedures. This will allow the country to increase the transit potential, to accelerate the movement of citizens, goods and vehicles through borders of the participating states of the organization and to ensure the investment attractiveness of GUAM area.

    The sides expressed readiness to exchange preliminary information about goods and transport means that cross state borders of GUAM member countries as well as to develop such information exchange with other participants of a New Silk Road project.

    "Strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and GUAM countries in the customs area will allow us to significantly speed up and simplify customs formalities when moving goods and vehicles across the state border. And this, in turn, will enable the countries to actively develop trade and economic relations", said Roman Nasirov.
