The Government is looking for solutions and will offer them to the Parliament aimed to raise the minimum pension and reduce the Pension Fund’s deficit. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman at a plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dedicated to consideration of the Draft Law on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine No. 5130 on Tuesday.

"Now our objective is to raise wages, reduce the deficit of the Pension Fund, to do everything to provide grounds for improving a real pension. It is our goal and we’ll search for the solution that we will offer the Parliament to back," said the Prime Minister.

He reminded that from December 1 the Government with the support of factions of the coalition and groups of the Parliament by amendments to the State Budget for 2016 had raised retired pay in Ukraine by 10%.

"First and foremost, we must focus on minimum pensions - this is our common goal – and reducing the deficit of the Pension Fund as well", stressed the Head of Government.
