  • Volodymyr Groysman and Viktor Orban tackled prospects of deeper cooperation in energy sector

    Ukraine is interested in deeper cooperation with Hungary in the energy sector, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán on Thursday.

    The Head of Ukrainian Government thanked Hungary for the reverse gas deliveries. According to Volodymyr Groysman, the volumes of gas to Ukraine can be increased. In this context, he expressed the need for joint consultation.

    The Prime Minister raised an issue of the project for the construction of Krk LNG terminal in Croatia and emphasized the sustainability of such a project. The parties discussed the possibility of supplying liquefied natural gas through Hungary to Ukraine.

    Ukraine counts on partnership in the context of the modernization of the Ukrainian GTS and impeding the construction of Nord stream-2, said the Prime Minister.

    Apart from that, Volodymyr Groysman expressed interest and readiness of Ukrainian experts to join the work on the construction of new reactor units for Paks Nuclear Power Plant.
