The Government will support the association of territorial communities, which is called to enhance capacities and competitiveness of the regions and to provide for the development of the country. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced during a meeting with representatives of the Association of Ukrainian Cities on Thursday.

"We pledge the support for the united territorial communities. We will do that to get the result”, said Volodymyr Groysman.” We believe that [the association of local communities] is the right thing. We see efficiency."

The Head of Government noted that the areas that today are making a major contribution in this matter will be the leaders.

According to him, the heads of regional administrations who do not understand the historical moment are unwise, "because those who will be able to effectively carry out the system of association, will take leading positions in the country's development".

"Imagine that the whole area have united into communities, got direct budgetary relations and ensured double-triple growth of their budgets. This is a huge advantage in the competition between regions, areas," said the Prime Minister.
