The revival
and development of national industry and economy will enable the country to
accumulate funds and enhance social standards. This was stated by Prime
Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Thursday.
"Only creation
of jobs, only manufacturing of the national innovative product with added value
will provide an opportunity to obtain funds and reinvest in the quality of life.
We must ensure these changes to be quick. For that we need the support of
Parliament", said Volodymyr Groysman.
In this
context, the Prime Minister called on political leaders not to engage in
unbridled populism, particularly during the speeches from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.
"It is
possible to allocate UAH 6 billion today for pension provision. But for the next
year, UAH 6 billion for 12 months - we need to find UAH 72 billion. We could
only find it from one source: from restoring and development of national
industry, from the revival and boost of the national economy," he said.
"Our
goal is to create such a system that would give an opportunity of economic
revival", emphasized the Prime Minister.
The Government
is committed to development of the economy and improvement of wages and minimum
social standards is included into the list of priorities, said Volodymyr Groysman. Since December
1, welfare standards will grow by 10%. This figure is insufficient, but it is
the growth that can be achieved avoiding getting the state in an inflationary
gap and economic decline, said the Prime Minister.
Volodymyr
Groysman announced that month the national committee
for industry restoration within the Government would be set up.
"In
synergy with MPs, with the real sector, industrialists, entrepreneurs we can
find a solution at the state level, those crucial for the development of
national industry, national economy and creating of jobs," he noted.
The Prime
Minister thanked the Verkhovna Rada
for the adoption during the plenary meeting on Tuesday the decisions,
particularly on technological parks that will revive the national industry.
Also
commenting on the issue regarding operation of the Production Association Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant named after A.M. Makarov, Volodymyr Groysman
called for urgent finding of "systemic solutions regarding how to restore work
of the enterprise to prevent it generate debts."
