  • Prime Minister: Elections in the united communities due on December 11

    The Government together with the Central Election Commission (CEC) found a solution that will allow holding elections in the united territorial communities on 11 December. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said on air of the Lviv regional national TV and radio company.

    "I think that on December 11, we will manage to ensure the polls in united communities", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

    The Head of Government noted that an issue of scheduling an election in the territorial communities that decided to unite had to be solved by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities in synergy with the CEC. "They have failed to solve this issue without my participation. So, jointly with the Central Election Commission we could have found the format of the solution. On Monday we will take a relevant decision", he emphasized.

    The Prime Minister reminded he had been among the sponsors of the Law on Voluntary Association of Territorial Communities.

    The combined budgets of territorial communities have increased two, five, sevenfold, he accentuated.
