The fight against smuggling and establishing order at customs already yields result. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with Paralympic athletes – participants and winners of the Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro.

"We have launched anti-smuggling activities. In May we faced sharp downward of earnings [revenue from customs – ed.], as everyone thought that we would change our mind and wouldn't fight. Hence, in August we got a plus of UAH 2 billion. We expect that this month we will also have additional UAH 2 billion", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

He noted the growth of payments at customs had proved possible exceptionally due to the struggle with the negative phenomena in the system.

"That's what used to get to the pockets, but now is directed to the State budget of Ukraine", highlighted the Prime Minister.
