Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko is convinced that in 2016 the rate of growth in social standards will exceed the rate of inflation. He declared it on air of the NewsOne TV channel.

"We predict that the increase in social standards will overrate inflation this year in Ukraine. For the first time in past three years we have, as compared to 2015, the growth of real wages by 12%. This figure is already adjusted for inflation. That is, the pace of improving wages exceeds inflation. An average salary in Ukraine makes up about UAH 5 thousand", said Pavlo Rozenko.

According to him, over the past six months we have managed to stabilize the national currency, and prices in the markets, including food, medicines and industrial products.

"If throughout the next six months we preserve similar rates of wage growth, we will be able to cover inflationary impact that we had in 2014-2015", said the Vice Prime Minister.

"The overall situation in the economy and the indicators of wage growth give grounds to say that Ukraine has already passed the outermost point in the slowdown and we are starting to recover from the severe socio-economic crisis in which Ukraine has been for the past three years," summed up Pavlo Rozenko.
