On the eve of the Day of the Ukrainian Navy
General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, Minister of Defence of Ukraine,
awarded Ukrainian Navy servicemen who had taken part in combat operations
in the east of Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian fleet is an integral part
of the national Armed Forces, the Ukrainian sailors has been taking part
in operations in the east of Ukraine since first days. More than
5,000 servicemen, including mobilized, from the Ukrainian Navy have
participated in these operations. 154 servicemen got state awards,
more than 750 servicemen got awards of the Ministry of Defence
of Ukraine,” the Minister
said.
