Navy Commander: Sea Breeze permits to gain experience of response to challenges and threats to regional stability and security
“Cooperation of military Navy men during the Sea Breeze exercise enhances confidence, encourages partnership, provides opportunity to gain experience of response to challenges and threats to regional stability and security,” Lt. Gen. Ihor Voronchenko, Acting Navy Commander, said during the Sea Breeze 2016 Final Planning Conference in Odesa, May 24.
He also stressed the importance of continuation of international cooperation and relationship for the Ukrainian Navy. He expressed certitude that the exercise participants would implement the experience gained during the operations in the east of Ukraine.
It
should be noted Sea Breeze 2016 Final Planning Conference kicked off in Odesa on May 23. The participants will specify the maneuvers strength, agree the phases and main elements
of exercise, develop the scheduled actions table, complete the elaboration
of the scenario and exercise plan, deployment schedule and principal
aspects of multinational peacekeeping operation in the crisis region.
The
representatives of the Main Directorate of Military Cooperation and
Peacekeeping Operations of the General Staff of the Armed Forces
of Ukraine, services of Armed Forces of Ukraine, State Frontier
Service of Ukraine, National Guard of Ukraine, state authorities and
law enforcement services take part in it.
